CATARMAN, Northern Samar - The construction and concreting of the 44-kilometer-road project amounting to P400 million is now in its full swing, said Governor Paul Daza.
Daza said in an interview that the ongoing road construction and concreting project, which was started last year, connects the towns of Lope de Vega and San Isidro -- both of Northern Samar.
He added that the project is being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Daza said the road project is part of the National Government’s “peace and prosperity road project” connecting several communities in the insurgency affected areas in his province.
He added that the project will also help in the improvement of the economic conditions of the people in the localities.
The project will help boost agricultural activities and productivity, shorten travel time and the transportation of agricultural products from the farm to the market will be easier and with lower cost, he said. (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
