Renovated bridge opens to public-A A +A

CALBAYOG CITY -- The newly renovated Rosales Bridge along the national highway here was opened to motorists Sunday, after being closed for seven months.
The bridge, via Daan Maharlika, is one of the bridges that connect the upper barangays to the city proper.
Rehabilitation began on January 15 and re-opened for traffic on August 20.
Representative Mel Senen S. Sarmiento (1st District, Samar), Calbayog City Mayor Ronaldo P. Aquino, and Department of Public Works and Highways Samar 1st Engineering District head Engr. Virgilio Eduarte led the inauguration last September 8, simultaneously in celebration of the city fiesta.
The project cost P25.267 million covering the construction of four piers, five spans bridge deck slab, four lines of Reinforced Concrete Deck Girders, concrete railings, and grouted riprap. The bridge length is 65.35 linear meters.
