CATBALOGAN CITY -- “We have not jumped ship - we remain loyal to the Liberal Party,” said Board Member Charlito Coñejos (1st District, Samar).
Coñejos, during a press conference, said they want to clear their side on accusations made by a fellow party mate board member Alma Uy-Lampasa that they have left the Liberal Party (LP) and sided with the party of Vice Governor Stephen James Tan, who is with the Nacionalista Party (NP).
Coñejos was with LP party mates board members Alvin Abejuela and Lee Zosa.
The three board members belied the allegations saying that while they support the crafting of ordinances for the programs and development projects -- it is not because they are pro Tans, but for the welfare of their constituents in the province of Samar.
“When it is for the welfare of the people, it must be without any political color,” Coñejos said. (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
