Friday, October 25, 2013
EASTERN Samar Vice Governor Marcelino Picardal said they are contemplating of resorting to a paperless system during their sessions.
Last October 22, Picardal, together with the other members of the Eastern Samar Provincial Board (PB), visited their counterparts in Leyte to observe how they conduct their session with the use of papers during their sessions.
He said if their plan would push through, they expect to adopt the paperless system by next year.
Picardal said that with their new system, their Leyte counterparts can pursue “substantial headway and achieve developmental local legislation.”
The paperless session in Leyte, which is a project of Vice Governor Carlo Loreto, complement the legislative tracking system, which they first used during the term of former vice governor and now board member, Mimiette Bagulaya.
The paperless session aimed to lessen the use of paper and ensure that members of the Provincial Board would immediately study the agenda of their session.
Aside from observing the dynamics of the regular session, they also wanted to be appraised with the budgetary requirements of the paperless system of the Leyte’s PB, Picardal said. (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
