RUSTAN'S Supermarket relaunched its newly renovated branch at the Paseo Arcenas Estates, Banawa recently. In its continued aim to offer customers with the most pleasurable shopping experience, Rustanās Supermarket transformed its Banawa branch into a bigger store offering 1,500 sq. m of retail space set amidst fresh, modern interiors, wider aisles plus more spacious parking, all with the customerās convenience in mind. This further established itself as the first choice of discerning shoppers looking for consistent value and quality.
Being a market leader and innovator, Rustanās Supermarket was first to introduce many retail concepts still being imitated up to this day. In fact, it was even the first supermarket to bring the Kikkoman sauce and Chupa Chups to the Philippines many decades back and the first to have a coffee shop within a supermarket, what Cebuanos have long come to know and love as The Yum Yum Tree.
Generations of Cebuano shoppers will be thrilled to know that at Rustanās Banawa, traditions continue with the The Yum Yum Tree, the coffee shop that has long become a part of the Rustanās Supermarket experience. Old time favorites that bring back many a fond, childhood memory such as the classic spaghetti with meatballs and palabok are still available along with a complete menu of new delectable dishes to match its new look.
Founded in 1970, Rustanās Supermarket is a pioneer in modern grocery retailing having introduced many innovations from groundbreaking promotions to sourcing quality products from all over the world. Rustanās was the first Manila retailer to operate in Cebu in 1985 having opened a department store and supermarket in a building that became a Cebu landmark along what was then known as Mango Avenue.
In 2006, the supermarket transferred to R. Arcenas St., Paseo Arcenas Estate, Banawa and a second branch opened at the Ayala Center Cebu in 2007. Its success is a result of the reputation it has carefully built through the years, one of quality and affordability and to this day, Rustanās Supermarket remains a trusted brand for many Cebuanos.
