Who cares?

THE world today is shrinking and at the same time growing at an exponential degree. We have right of the palm of our hands, the entire known world condensed into handheld gadgets or devices the size of a notebook. We have everything we need to keep us informed, all we lack is the desire to learn.

Everyday hundreds of news stories get uploaded online in hopes of reaching younger leaders in more conventional ways compared to getting them to read the newspaper. Everything is there but most of us don’t even care.

Life is a lot like taking an exam; you won’t make it out right if you’re not ready. Our country is currently facing a million different and interrelated problems all at the same time. Some people are aware but most don’t even know. So many people want about the anomalies and all the mishaps in our society and country but can only go so far as a facebook post or tweet; they are satisfied with the most basic information, they’re satisfied with just the gist. They think wanting is solving these problems, but, wen asked to fight for a cause, they’re not ready.

What we lack is the desire to learn more. We try to learn enough just to be able something which is a lot like going to war with one bullet and you’re faced with a thousand opponents.

If half of the younger population had it in them to keep searching for knowledge, then a lot of the problems we’re facing now would exist only to be challenges we’re defeated in future history books.

Awareness doesn’t only solve corruption, it solves a myriad of problems if only people were big enough to admit they know too little to even be of help.

Access to information isn’t even a problem, it’s the people, they just don’t care enough.
