5 ARMM tae kwon do jins to see action in Australia

FIVE tae kwon do jins from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) have qualified to join the Philippine delegation that would participate in the Australian Open Cup this year, an education official said.

Taya Aplal, director II of Department of Education in Armm, said the five tae kwon do jins that qualified to join the Philippine team are from the town of Lamitan, Basilan province.

They are Marlon Avenido, Wahida Bairulla, James Guerrero, Everlasting Ian Felomina Juarez, and Shalimar Iza Francheska Juarez.

Aplal said they qualified after performing well in tae kwon do competition in last month's Palarong Pambansa held in Tacloban City.

Aplal said the Philippine delegation is leaving for Australia in August.

The Australian Open Cup is scheduled to be held in September, Aplal said.
