THE Davao-based Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. will open additional six branches in the region, a company official announced.
Phoenix assistant vice president for Sales-Mindanao Edgar Alerta said five of the six gas stations to be opened will be in Zamboanga City and the other one is in Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The five new gasoline stations in the city will be located in the villages of Curuan, Talabaan, Buenavista, Guiwan, and Tetuan.
Alerta said the opening of the new Phoenix gasoline stations in the city will bring to a total of eight stations the company operates in Zamboanga City. Two stations are already operating in the city, while another is under construction.
Those in operation are located in the villages of Labuan and Suterville in the city's west coast while still under construction is located in Boalan villagey.
Alerta said the entry of company in the city will promote healthy competition and assured the buying public of the best price of oil products.
Alerta, Phoenix Retail Territory manager Engr. Mariano Claridad and the owners of the six new gasoline stations have signed contracts Tuesday in Zamboanga City.
The new Phoenix gasoline stations will sell five products that include premium, unleaded, and regular, diesel and kerosene.
The Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., the fastest growing independent oil company today with an expanding network of operations nationwide, was incorporated in May 2002 in Davao City as a family business under the name Davao Oil Terminal Service Corporation.
The company began operations in its current form in January 2004, distributing petroleum products to various commercial entities here in Mindanao.
The company was officially renamed to Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. in August 2006.
