TWO international recruitment agencies have tapped the assistance of the Public Employment Service Office (Peso) to fill at least 200 job vacancies abroad, a local government official announced Friday.

Peso Manager Francisco Barredo said the representatives of the two recruitment agencies are arriving in Zamboanga City to conduct a three-day selection process to hire workers for Hong Kong and the Middle East.

The selection process starts on Monday, May 23, and ends on Wednesday, May 5. It will be held at the Peso in Pettit Barracks during office hours, Barredo said.

The two international recruitment agencies are: Baguio Benguet International Recruitment Agency Inc. (BBIRAI) and PERT/CPM Manpower Exponents Company Inc.

Barredo said the BBIRAI will be hiring skilled workers for Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Dubai.

The PERT/CPM, on the other hand, is looking for domestic helpers for Hong Kong, said Barredo.

He urged the applicants to bring and present the necessary documents, especially their passports, during the three-day selection period. (Bong Garcia)
