AERO Majestic Airways will start flying next week in the skies of Zamboanga Peninsula and Northern Mindanao with Zamboanga City as its point of origin.

It would be the first scheduled flight of Aero Majestic Airways since it started operating in February 2010.

Aero Majestic Airways Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Captain Raheel Shaikh said the maiden flight for the Zamboanga City-Cagayan de Oro City route and vice-versa will be on Monday, September 19.

Shaikh said they will field a 64-seater YS11-Series 500 plane to serve three times a week the Zamboanga City-Cagayan de Oro route.

They will start flying the Zamboanga City-Cagayan de Oro route with a fare of P999 with 17 kilos off hand baggage, Shaikh said.

Aero Majestic Airways will also launch the Zamboanga City-Dipolog City flights on September 27 with two times a week flight schedule.

He said they are also eyeing to serve the Zamboanga City-Pagadian City route and the Jolo, Sulu and the province of Tawi-Tawi.

Shaikh said they have seen that Zamboanga City has great potentials on airline business.

The Aero Majestic Airways’s head office is in Manila and it has a branch office in Zamboanga City.

The firm has 64 brand new aircrafts and helicopters that are available for charter to all airports in the country and neighboring countries, Shaikh said. (Bong Garcia)
