Police Station 6 commander Chief Inspector Felixberto Martinez identified the victim in the Guiwan incident as Bashier Amilhasan.

Investigation showed Amilhasan was driving his motorcycle on the way home, after he fetched his son from school, when he was shot by one of two gunmen riding tandem on another motorcycle who tailed him.

Amilhasan, a process server of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 16, is the one who serves court notices, subpoenas and others.

In Sta. Maria village, shot and critically wounded was First Lieutenant Francisco Sayoc, the Civil-Military Operations (CMO) chief of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-3 (MBLT-3).

Investigation showed Sayoc was sitting in a military jeep parked in front of the Hapi Convenience Store when shot by one of two men riding tandem in a motorcycle.

Sayoc was waiting for his wife and daughter who were inside the convenience store buying toiletries at that time.

The incident was captured by the store’s closed-circuit television camera, which the police say would help in solving the case.

The police said thorough investigations will be done to unmask the suspects of the two shooting incidents.
