Wednesday, January 25, 2012
THE State of the City Report (SCR) of Mayor Celso Lobregat will highlight the City Council's maiden session, which is scheduled to be held Wednesday, at the Garden Orchid Hotel's convention center.
Lobregat delivered the SCR in line with the tradition started by his mother, the late Mayor Maria Clara Lobregat, several years ago when she was the mayor of Zamboanga City.

House Deputy Speaker and Representative Ma. Isabelle Climaco Salazar (1st district) and Representative Erico Basilio Fabian (2nd district) will also make an outline of their accomplishments during the City Council's maiden session.
As in the previous years, Lobregat will report to Zamboanga City’s legislative body and the public in general the multifarious accomplishments of his administration during the past year. He will also chart a new direction his administration will take in the years to come.
Lobregat's report is expected to highlight his administration's accomplishments, particularly the implementation of various infrastructure projects in the education sector, social service, health, barangays, environment, agriculture, tourism, law enforcement, and peace and order.
The City Council will hold for the first time its maiden session in a local hotel, considering that the City Council building is currently undergoing repair due to certain structural defects.
Expected to attend the mayor's SCR are city officials, regional directors of national government offices, school principals, business and industrial stakeholders, barangay, police and military officials, community leaders and representatives from other sectors. ( Bong Garcia)
