Killed was 29-year-old Dennis Bucoy while wounded were village official Angelita Bucoy and her helper, Roselio Bernardo.
Police said Angelita and her helper were already asleep when Dennis forced his way into the village official’s residence. The two were awakened by a noise of the forced entry.
The village official was hacked by Dennis after she questioned the latter’s presence inside her residence.
He also hacked the helper who tried to rescue Angelita, the police added.
Though wounded, Angelita and Bernardo simultaneously attacked and hacked Dennis that resulted to his death, the police said.
The village official and her helper were brought to the hospital.
The police said the motive of the incident is believed to be robbery as Dennis opened the ceiling of the village official's house as his entry point.
