The suspect was identified as Arnel Mariano, 32, a resident of Guisao village.
Investigation showed the victim was standing in front of a store owned by Antonio Truita when the suspect together with a companion identified as Edwin Buagas arrived, the police said.
The suspect embraced Tarroza and suddenly stabbed the victim twice.
The victim, though wounded, managed to seek refuge at the store of Truita while the suspect and his companion fled from the crime scene.
