The highlights of the observance will be the awarding ceremony for the Five Outstanding Zamboangueno Young Leaders (FOZYL) who will be conferred with the Senator Roseller T. Lim Award and the wreath laying rite at the R.T. Lim monument at the Normal Road.
Now on its 5th year, the Senator Roseller T. Lim Award is a joint project of the City Government and the JCI Zamboanga.
It is conferred on youths who possess qualities of leadership, excellence and commitment to service epitomized by the late Senator Lim.
The awarding ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballroom Hall of the Garden Orchid Hotel.
The wreath laying ceremony on the other hand will be held at 9 a.m. or immediately after the 8 a.m. mass at the St. Joseph Church in Nuñez Street.
The observance of Dia de Roseller T. Lim is based on Ordinance 283 authored by Councilor Rodolfo Lim, the nephew of the late senator.
