Simbi was reportedly driving his motorcycle on his way home when shot by one of two men riding tandem on another motorcycle.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at the government-run Zamboanga City Medical Center.
De Ocampo said the members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered from the crime scene two slugs and empty shells of caliber .45 pistol.
