Campaign up vs riding-in-tandem snatchers

ZAMBOANGA City Police Office (ZCPO) Director Edwin de Ocampo announced they have launched a campaign against snatchers riding-in-tandem on motorcycle in Zamboanga City.
Ocampo said the campaign was launched following the recent discovery of the new modus operandi, which is believed to be conducted by an organized group.

De Ocampo said the new modus operandi was discovered when policemen arrested two teenagers suspected to be members of an organized riding-in-tandem snatchers.
The recent victim of riding-in-tandem snatchers is a nurse whose shoulder bag containing cash and valuables, including pertinent document, was snatched on Sunday in the village of Tugbungan, east of the city.
The victim, at the time of the incident, was seated at the front seat of a public utility jeepney.
De Ocampo said they have adopted strategies for the possible arrest of the people behind the riding-in-tandem snatching.
De Ocampo advised the public to be cautious in walking along the side of the road whether in downtown area or in the villages to avoid falling victims of riding-in-tandem snatching.
