Alkie said 43 of the 45 village chiefs supported the recall petition though only 33 accompanied him in submitting the petition.
A total of 12,080 registered voters, representing more than 27 percent of the 43,611 voting population of this city, have signed the petition for recall against Eisma.
The signatories of the petition are from the 45 barangays of this city, Alkie said.
Republic Act 9244 and Commission on Election (Comelec) Resolution 7505 stated that only 20 percent of the 43,611 registered voters are needed to sign a petition to recall against an elected official of this city.
The 20 percent of 43,611 registered voters is only 8,720.
Alkie said they have lost confidence on Eisma due to the vice mayor's lack of cooperation to develop this city, which gained a cityhood status in April 2011.
