THE government has scheduled the holding of a two-day Regional Stakeholders Consultation on the Transition Investment Support Plan (TISP) for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm).

TISP is an P8.59-billion fund for programs and projects intended to fast-track key development initiatives and reforms in Armm.

The two-day consultation is scheduled on Tuesday until Wednesday in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur province, said Yasmin Busran-Lao, Presidential Assistant for Muslim Concerns and National Program manager of TISP for Armm.

The two-day activity will bring together representatives of over 60 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) primarily to discuss their role in working with the government on the TISP, said Lao.

Representatives of the various implementing agencies in the national and regional level were also invited to dialogue with the CSOs, Lao said.

Lao said a critical component of the plan is to mobilize the private sector to ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation of these programs and projects. (Bong Garcia)
