THREE hog dealers were injured, including one whose nose was slashed, in a stabbing spree in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday.
The incident took place around 4:40 p.m. Sunday in Barangay Lumbangan, eight kilometers east of the city, said the Police Station 5.
The police identified the victims as Joseph Enriquez, Reynaldo Enriquez and Edwin Gaspar.
The two Enriquezes suffered stab wounds while Gaspar's nose was slashed, the police said.
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the three were having a drinking spree while waiting for the buyer of the hog they are selling to, the police said.
Gaspar suddenly pulled a knife tucked on Reynaldo's waist and immediately stabbed Joseph as a heated argument ensued between them, the police said.
Reynaldo was also stabbed by Gaspar when the former tried to pacify his two companions.
Reynaldo grabbed a wooden club and hit Gaspar on the head and slashed the nose of the latter, who fell on the ground, the police added.
