LAMITAN CITY, Basilan – The almost 300 regular City Government employees have something to be happy about at the end of this year.
Mayor Roderick Furigay announced during the flag raising ceremony Monday that each of them will receive a productivity incentive bonus of P20,000.
Furigay said the funding of almost P6 million for the grant of the productivity incentive to the employees will come from this city’s supplemental budget.
The City Council has recently approved this city’s supplemental budget, Furigay added.
“As what we have promised, you will receive your productivity incentive before the yearend,” Furigay said.
However, Furigay was quick to advise the employees “not to sell” their productivity incentive to “loan sharks.”
This as he told them to spent wisely their incentive citing it is intended to help them defray of their expenses during the yuletide seasons.
The City Government employees would also receive their three-month salary differential pay aside from the productivity incentive.
City Planning and Development Officer Florence Herrera said the differential pay would depend on the increase of salary of each of the employees.
Herrera said the funding would also come from the supplemental budget approved by the City Council.
The salary differential will be released within this month, Herrera said. (Bong Garcia)
