THE police have filed three counts of murder charges before the Zamboanga City Prosecutor’s Office against two persons tagged as responsible for the killing of a former village official, his son and a friend.
Police Station 7 commander Chief Inspector Larry Domingo said the filing came after they have established the identities of the two suspects in the murder.
The suspects were identified as Mahadil Abil alias Khadafi Abil, and Ka Abil alias Gordo, both residents of San Roque village, six kilometers west of Zamboanga City.
Domingo said the suspects were identified by some witnesses as the killers Isabelo Sarte, 60, his son, Ronald, 24, and their friend, Immy Boy Uy.
Sarte has served as kagawad in the village of Camino Nuevo in the 1990s.
The victims were shot and killed around 7:40 p.m. last August 12 along Governor Ramos Avenue, Sta. Maria village, three kilometers north of the city.
Both suspects are still at large, according to Domingo. (Bong Garcia)
