6 cops dismissed for drug use

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has discharged from service six policemen under the Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula (PRO-9) after they were confirmed to have been using prohibited drugs.
PRO regional director Chief Superintendent Napoleon Estilles said one of the six who were discharged is an officer while the other five are non-commissioned officers.
Estilles said the policemen, who were required to undergo drug test, were found using prohibited drugs.
He warned policemen to avoid vices so as not to affect their job as law enforcers.
He added that five other policemen are facing administrative case for the same offense.
