City gov’t turns over radios to the police

THE City Government of Zamboanga has turned over anew handheld radio transceivers and battery packs to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) to strengthen the communication capability of the local police in law enforcement.
The communication equipment turned over by Mayor Celso Lobregat on Monday was worth P254,400.
Among the communication equipment turned over to the ZCPO were eight handheld radio transceivers with spare battery packs and earpieces amounting to P13,500 each for a total of P108,000.
Also turned over to the ZCPO were 70 battery packs to replace the unserviceable batteries amounting to P146,400.
The communication equipment which was turned over to the ZCPO on Monday was the second batch of radio transceivers given to the police by the City Government in two weeks time.
Two weeks ago, the City Government also turned over 43 handheld radio transceivers amounting to P580,500, three units radio base worth P69,5000 and 47 battery packs amounting to P97,6000 for a total of P747,600, bringing to more than P1 million the communication equipment donated to the local police.
