Teenager hurt in bomb explosion

AN IMPROVISED bomb explosion injured a teenager in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, a military official said Thursday.

Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Cabangbang, Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) spokesman, said the incident took place around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Poblacion in Imelda town.

Cabangbang identified the victim as Alraffy Bano, 14, who suffered minor injury.


The improvised bomb that exploded was placed in front of M&M Alrafhi Garment Shop owned by Merpha Bano, the mother of the victim, Cabangbang said.

Investigation continues to determine the motive of the incident and unmask the suspects. (Bong Garcia)
