NEWLY installed Customs District Collector Christopher Francisco Bolastig is optimistic that his office will meet its annual target collection goal of P40 million.
The office of Bolastig only needs to collect P8.2 million until the end of this year to meet its annual target of P40 million.
Bolastig said they have collected a total of P31.8 million from January to September this year. He said they are expecting to collect some P7 million for this month of October.
Bolastig, meanwhile, announced that there will be no reshuffling of personnel since all of them are competent in their respective assignments.
However, he said, there will be regular performance evaluation of all personnel at the district office.
Bolastig took the helm of the local customs district office from officer-in-charge Darwisa Schuck two weeks ago.
His previous assignments include: Legal Service Office, Port of Manila; head of the Liquidation and Assessment Audit Division at the office of Customs Commissioner Rozzano Rufino Biazon; and, officer-in-charge of the Port of Tacloban. (Bong Garcia)
