Revenue bureau holds withholding taxes seminar

THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has conducted a whole-day “Withholding taxes: Yearend Adjustment Seminar” in Zamboanga City.
BIR Regional Director Alert Alcocilja said the purpose of the seminar, which was held Tuesday, is aimed to evaluate the equivalent to tax due before the end of the year.
Alcocilja said the seminar is also aimed at improving the remittance of the withholding tax from taxpayers.
He said it is also intended to ensure that they will be able to meet their target collection goal for this year.
The participants of the seminar include accountants, bookkeepers and other withholding tax officers of any institution from the different parts of the region, Alcocilja added. (Bong Garcia)
