A 22-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed and wounded by his elder brother following a quarrel over what television channel to watch, a police official said Tuesday.
Chief Inspector Larry Domingo, Police Station 7 commander, said the incident took place shortly before 9 p.m. Monday in Margarita Drive, San Roque village, six kilometers west of Zamboanga City.
Domingo identified the victim as Romel Redutallas, 22, who suffered stab wounds on his left arm and left lower chest.
The suspect was identified as Noynoy, 25, the victim’s elder brother who escaped and remained at large.
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the two brothers were watching television when suddenly the suspect changed the channel, earning the ire of the victim, Domingo said.
A heated altercation ensued between them and the elder brother grabbed a knife and stabbed his younger brother, the police said.
The victim was admitted at the Zamboanga Brent Hospital.
