Sunday, October 21, 2012
MAYOR Celso Lobregat is meeting with the police and other local government offices concerned to map out security plans and measures to be implemented during the observance of the All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day in Zamboanga City.
However, same measures will more or less be implemented similar to the previous year like liquor ban and the carrying of bladed weapons in all public and private cemeteries here, Lobregat said.
Lobregat said traffic will also be rerouted to ensure orderly flow of vehicles to and from the cemeteries.
Lobregat added he will issue an executive order concerning security and other measures to be implemented for the solemn observance of All Saint’s and All Soul’s Days.
The order will take effect from 5:30 a.m. of November 1 (All Saints Day) until 5 p.m. of November 2 (All Souls Day), he said.
The violators of the order will be brought to the police station for investigation and filing of appropriate charges, and if so warranted, under existing laws and ordinances or the imposition of fines as the case maybe, he added. (Bong Garcia)
