PhilHealth sets ‘Moves’ launching

THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is launching on Monday its Mobile Orientation, Validation and Enrolment Scheme (Moves) in Zamboanga City.
Moves is a strategy to inform, guide and empower all sponsored program members identified through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWDs) National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR).
Zamboanga City has been chosen as the launching site of the Philhealth’s Moves program here in Mindanao.
The program will start at 8 a.m. at the Mayor Vitaliano Agan Coliseum.
The activity will also include the distribution of 11,495 PVC-type Philhealth Number Cards (PNCs) and Member Data Records (MDRs) for the initial 20 villages in Zamboanga City aside from an orientation on the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP).
The villages and the number of members are: Arena Blanco, 1,406; Camino Nuevo, 174; Canelar, 136; Guiwan, 212; Mampang, 1,624; Mariki, 1,034; Putik, 356; Rio Hondo, 1,240; San Jose Gusu, 348; Sta. Catalina, 1,174; Sta. Maria, 167; Sto. Niño, 119; Talon-Talon, 1,182; Tetuan, 392; Tugbungan, 1,045; Tumaga, 405; Zone I, 75; Zone II, 168; Zone III, 22; and, Zone IV, 216 for a total of 11,495.
The PNCs that will be distributed will be for the period January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013 or a period of two years.
For Zamboanga City, the NHTS-PR program has recorded a total of 50,866 program beneficiaries coming from this city’s 98 villages.
For the remaining 78 villages, distribution of PNCs and MDRs will be done by village.
The PhilHealth officials request the presence of all members identified through the NHTS-PR during the Moves’ launching. (Bong Garcia)
