FOUR people were injured when the truck they were riding turned turtle and fell into a ravine in a west coast village in Zamboanga City, a police official said.
Police Station 8 commander Senior Inspector Arthur Alejandro said the incident took place shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday in the village of Maasin, 13 kilometers west of the city.
The victims were identified as Carlito Ebol, the truck driver, and Boy Suarez, Rene Brillantes and Nilo Bariga, all truck helpers, according to Alejandro.
He said the truck turned turtle after crashing on the road railings. It fell into the ravine after Ebol lost control of the truck's steering wheel.
Alejandro said the truck's steering wheel malfunctioned while they were on the way to deliver chicken feed to a poultry farm in Barangay Pamucutan, 23 kilometers west of the city. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
