OFW Family Day set

OVERSEAS Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) Regional Director Hassan Jumdain announced that all is set for the celebration of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Family Day on Saturday in Zamboanga City.

Jumdain said the celebration is a tribute to the OFWs and their families for their contribution to the economic growth of the country.

For Zamboanga Peninsula region, Jumdain said the event is scheduled to kick-off at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Dr. Juanito Bruno Gymnasium of the Western Mindanao State University.


Jumdain said they are inviting all OFWs to join the OFW Family Day celebration citing several activities were lined up for the event.

“Admission is free and we hope we can gather all OFW families during the yuletide season,” Jumdain said.

A pre-registration is now going on at Owwa regional office located at the 4th floor, BGIDC Corporate Center, Governor Lim Avenue. (Bong Garcia)
