THE Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) is set to implement more than P20 million worth of infrastructure projects in two municipalities in the province of Lanao del Sur.
Armm Governor Mujiv Hataman signed a contract on Thursday for the implementation of the road projects in the municipalities of Madamba and Bayang, Lanao del Sur.
Armm-Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Engineer Emil Sadain said the road project has an approved contract budget of P23.3 million, which would build the roads connecting the town of Ganassi, Lanao del Sur to Tubod, Lanao Del Norte.
Sadain said the project would also connect the towns of Masiu and Ganasi, both located in Lanao del Sur.
“This is the fourth contract inked with prior deals for vehicle and equipment generated from savings through our Equipment Procurement Program,” Sadain said.
Sadain said infrastructure projects in Armm for this year are estimated at around 78 components with an allocation cost of P1.5 billion.
Sadain said Armm, consistent with enacted Public Works Act of 2012 for the autonomous region, adheres to the “right project, right cost, and right quality” of the region. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
