A POLICEMAN lost about P200,000 cash and valuables to burglars who barged into his house in an east coast village in Zamboanga City, the police reported.
The police said the incident took place around 3 a.m. Tuesday at the residence of Police Officer 3 (PO3) Reneboy Oquias in the village of Guiwan.
Oquias told the case investigator that the suspects barged into his house by destroying the backdoor’s improvised lock.
He added that no one noticed when the suspects barged into his residence since all the occupants were asleep and it was raining at that time.
He reported that the suspects carted away several items including one caliber .45 pistol with extra ammunition worth P25,000; one M-16 AR-15 rifle (P70,000); three units cellular phones (P6,000 each); a wrist watch (P8,000); iPhone (P35,000); two unit laptop computers (P14,000 each); and P10,000 cash.
Investigation continues to unmask the suspects, the police said. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
