THE Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) got a boost in terms of mobility from the Police Regional Office, a top police official said.

Senior Superintendent Edwin de Ocampo ZCPO chief, said they have received 16 units of motorcycles which will be used in the fight against street crimes.

De Ocampo said the motorcycles will be issued to the ZCPO’s VIPER units who are assigned in the different major streets of this city.

They are tasked to provide assistance to lawmen including those from other units in responding to crimes.

De Ocampo said the VIPER personnel could respond fast a call for assistance since they equipped with motorcycles that easily pass through traffic snarls. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
