Sketches of bizman’s abductors out

POLICE authorities on Friday released the computer-generated artist sketch of two of the five gunmen responsible in the abduction of a businessman in a west coast village of Zamboanga City.
Senior Superintendent Edwin de Ocampo, officer-in-charge of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), the computer-generated sketches are those of the two of the five suspects who served as lookouts when they snatched the victim.
They were described by witnesses who saw them when the seized Edgar Fabella, 52, De Ocampo said.
One of the suspects is described as 25 to 30 years old, medium in built with about 50 to 55 kilograms in weight, fair complexion, and five feet and five inches tall, De Ocampo said.
He added that the other one is described as 25 to 30 years old, five feet and five inches to five feet and seven inches tall, medium built and weighing about 55 to 60 kilograms and with fair complexion.
Fabella was abducted by the suspects around 7:30 p.m. of Friday last week in the village of Maasin, 13 kilometers west of this city.
The victim owns and manages a general merchandise store and an eatery.
The suspects forced Fabella to board on a motorized banca that sped towards the direction of Basilan province.
Zamboanga Peninsula police director Chief Superintendent Juanito Vaño said there is a “proof of life” that the victim is alive.
Vaño revealed that the victim was able to talk to his family when the suspects called them. (Bong Garcia)
