ALL units of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Zamboanga Peninsula have been ordered to intensify its campaign against criminals preying on motorists along the highway.
The order was issued by Superintendent Severino Agustin, the newly-designated HPG regional director.
Agustin assumed as the new HPG director last Tuesday vice Senior Superintendent Moises Pagaduan, who was designated as the new director of the Camarines Norte police office.
Agustin, a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class-1989, was previously assigned at the HPG national headquarters based in Camp Crame in Quezon City.
Agustin ordered his officers and men to intensify the campaign against carnapping, highway robbery, the helmet law as well as the no plate-no travel policy.
He met in a command conference all his field personnel on Thursday to get abreast of the situation in the new area of assignment. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
