A MARITIME policeman was killed by unidentified men in camouflage uniforms on board a motorcycle in Zamboanga City, a top police official said Wednesday.

Zamboanga City Police Director Edwin de Ocampo said the incident took place around 2 p.m. Wednesday at Villa Sta. Maria, Sta. Maria village, three kilometers north of the city.

De Ocampo identified the victim as Police Officer 3 (PO3) Abdulhan Nassar, a maritime group personnel, who died on the spot with multiple bullet wounds.

Initial investigation showed that Nassar was driving his motorcycle on his way home when shot by the suspects who tailed the victim, De Ocampo said.

De Ocampo has ordered the Police Station 7 headed to conduct thorough investigation to unmask the gunmen.
