TWO suspected drug pushers fell into the hands of the authorities as the police remain relentless in its campaign against the trade of prohibited drugs in Zamboanga City.
Arrested were Adzman Sakaran, 15, and Arvin Rojas, 25, who were arrested on separate buy-bust operations, according to Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) officer-in-charge Edwin de Ocampo.
Sakaran was arrested around 5 p.m. Tuesday by personnel from the Police Station 3 in Sitio Kalang, Sangali village, Senior Superintendent De Ocampo said.
Confiscated from Sakaran’s possession were P500-marked money, a small sachet of shabu and other prohibited drug paraphernalia, De Ocampo said.
Rojas was arrested around 6:10 p.m. Tuesday by the operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (CAIDSOTF) and Anti-Carnapping Unit in Araneta Drive, Tumaga village.
Rojas’ companion, Arvin Orsene, managed to escape, the police said.
Seized from Rojas’ possession were P300-marked money and three sachets of shabu, he said.
Appropriate charges were filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspects, who were detained, he said. (Bong Garcia)
