THE City Government has allocated P28 million to purchase four new fire trucks to augment the firefighting equipment of the Bureau of Fire Protection’s (BFP) Zamboanga City Fire District (ZCFD)
Superintendent Dominador Zabala Jr., ZCFD marshal, said the acquisition of four new fire trucks would boost the fire fighting capability of his command.
Zabala’s command covers seven fire stations, which also maintain seven sub-stations covering 90 mainland barangays.
Zabala said the four new units will be distributed to fire stations that badly need new firefight equipment.
Among the fire stations that need new fire trucks are those in the remote village of Labuan, west of this city, and the villages of Sangali and Curuan, both east of this city.
