THE police have launched a manhunt to locate and arrest the wife of a septuagenarian farmer who was found dead in his house in Waling-Waling village, Vicenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur.
Object of the manhunt is Berosario Calderon, who "is nowhere to be found and considered as one of the suspects" in the killing of her husband, said Zamboanga Peninsula police spokesman Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca.
Calderon's husband, Pablo, 62, a farmer, was found dead inside his residence by his son, Rolando, around 1 a.m. Friday. The victim was found bathing in his own blood with stab wound on the throat.
Huesca said the victim was found dead hours after he and his wife were heard having a heated argument.
Appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the wife if evidence warrants, while manhunt continues, he added. (Bong Garcia)
