Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula spokesman Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca said the incident took place around 7 a.m. Saturday in sitio Campo Uno, Dongos village in Dinas municipality.
Huesca identified the victims as Rodulfo Clarin and Cristopher Tagayan, both residents of Sungoy village in the nearby town of San Pablo.
Huesca said the victims were cutting down coconut trees when the suspects appeared and opened fire instantly killing the victims.
The suspects fled, carting away the victims’ chainsaw, he said.
