THREE people, including a 75-year-old woman, were injured in a fire incident that razed 10 houses, a chapel and a daycare center in Zamboanga City.
Superintendent Dominador Zabala Jr., Zamboanga City Fire District chief, said the fire broke out around 4:30 p.m. Monday at Toribio Drive, Pasonanca village.
One of the three injured was identified as Leticia Duque, 75, Zabala said.
Investigation showed that the blaze, which started at the house of Isko Loreto, rapidly spread since most of the affected houses were made of light materials.
Zabala said the cause of the fire was believed to be faulty electric wiring.
The fire investigator has yet to ascertain the worth of properties that were damaged. (Bong Garcia)
