THE Crisis Management Committee (CMC) announced that classes will resume on Wednesday in all levels both in public and private schools in Zamboanga City, except in the villages Sta. Catalina, Sta. Barbara, and Rio Hondo.
The schools officials are required to report from Monday to Tuesday for organizational meeting and preparations for resumption of classes.
“Specific guidelines will be issued DepEd (Department of Education) division office,” said Zamboanga City Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, who chairs the CMC.
Pedro Melchor Natividad, officer-in-charge of the city division of schools, said that classes will resume in at least 77 percent of the local schools.
Natividad said that classes in the island barangays will remain suspended.
The classes in all levels both in public and private schools have suspended since the start of the standoff last September 9, when hundreds of Moro National Liberation Front rebels infiltrated the city.
