THE police are conducting investigation to determine the extent of operations of two suspected drug pushers they arrested in an anti-drug campaign in Zamboanga del Sur.
Zamboanga Police information officer Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca said this came about after the operatives have recovered a large quantity of suspected shabu from the arrested suspects.
Arrested were Roel Empleo, 40, a resident of Carmen Annex, Ozamis City, and Ronald Belvestre, 32, a Miligan village, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, according to Huesca.
He said the suspects were arrested around 9:45 p.m. Friday in the village of Sudlon, Molave town.
He said that confiscated from the possession and control of Empleo were the following: 34 pieces small size rectangular shape heat-sealed sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or otherwise known as shabu and 75 pieces silver rolled aluminum foil.
He said they are also trying to determine the extent of participation of Belvestre in the trade of prohibited drugs.
Both suspects are detained at the police station of Molave in Zamboanga del Sur, Huesca added. (Bong Garcia)
