Hospital receives new beds-A A +A

THE Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) has received 200 new hospital beds worth P6.2 million from the Department of Health (DOH), an official announced.
ZCMC chief of hospital Dr. Romeo Ong said the new hospital beds given to them by DOH-Central Office were delivered Sunday.
Ong said each of the new beds cost P31,000 or a total of P6.2 million for 200 beds.
The new hospital beds will be distributed to different wards of the ZCMC, Ong said.
The ZCMC is serving not only the people of this city but including those from the nearby provinces and the Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi areas which are part of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The arrival of the new hospital beds was in time for the reopening of the ZCMC last Tuesday.
The ZCMC was closed since it is very near to one of the sites of the skirmishes after hundreds of Moro National Liberation Front rebels infiltrated the city last September 9.
