A BUSINESSMAN was seized by seven gunmen in the island province of Sulu, a police official said Wednesday.
Sulu police information officer Kris Conrad Gutierrez said the incident took place around 5 p.m. Tuesday in the village of Gandasuli, Patikul, Sulu.
Gutierrez identified the victim as Archie Hablo, 29, the owner of Sincere Enterprises in Jolo, the capital town of Sulu.
Gutierrez said Hablo was on board a motorcycle together with his brother, Miko on the way home when the gunmen aboard a black jeep waylaid them.
The gunmen seized Hablo while his brother managed to escape, Gutierrez said.
The suspects, dragging Hablo, fled to unknown direction, he said.
Investigation continues to determine whether or not the suspects were members of the kidnap-for-ransom-group or Abu Sayyaf bandits.
