THE police have filed charges against two people caught in possession of narcotics after they were arrested for violation of the curfew hours in Zamboanga City, the police reported.
Charged before the City Prosecutor’s Office (CPO) were Rolan Lacanarez, 34, and Regee Gregorio, 26, said Zamboanga City Public Safety Company commander Superintendent William Gadayan.
Gadayan said the respondents were arrested early morning Thursday for violation of the curfew hours. He, however, said the suspects have yielded two medium-sized plastic sachets containing shabu and several prohibited drug paraphernalia when inspected.
A four-hour curfew from 12 midnight to 4 a.m. is still being implemented here as part of the security measures implemented by the City Government.
The implementation of curfew hours--at first nine hours and then reduced to six and four--had been implemented since last month’s standoff.
The suspects are detained on charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Gadayan said.
