Cadaver of MNLF rebel discovered-A A +A

A CADAVER of an alleged member of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) was discovered in a shallow grave in an east coast village in Zamboanga City, the police reported Friday.
Local police’ investigation section chief Arlan Delumpines said the cadaver was found around 11 a.m. Thursday in the village of Sta. Barbara, 0.35 kilometers east of the city.
The village of Sta. Barbara is one of the sites of the fierce gun battle during the standoff that started after hundreds of MNLF rebels infiltrated this city.
Delumpines said the cadaver clad in MNLF uniform with name cloth S. Nur of Unit Basilan Task Force was buried one-foot deep beside the residence of Jul Hassan Halil.
Delumpines said the cadaver was taken to the Villa Funeral Homes.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives has requested the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-9 to process the cadaver and conduct post mortem examination, according to Delumpines. (Bong Garcia)
