Aquino has allocated P3.89 billion from his contingency and calamity funds to rehabilitate the four most affected villages.

He has tasked Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio Singson to lead the rehabilitation of the affected villages.

The National government has commission the UP-Planning and Development Research Foundation, Inc. (UP-Planades) to prepare the rehabilitation plan dubbed as the Zamboanga City Roadmap to Recovery and Reconstruction (Z3R).
